Covenant of Grace meets for worship in the Batavia Park District building. The worship service follows a more traditional Presbyterian order of service. There is a formal Call to Worship, the singing of hymns, a time of confession of sin and assurance of God’s forgiveness in Christ, the preaching of the word, prayer, the collection of tithes and offerings and a benediction. The Lord’s Supper is served on the first Sunday of each month. The Word of God plays a prominent role in the worship service. The preaching is Christ-centered, expository preaching, meaning that the preaching moves through books of the Bible, section by section.
The current Sunday morning sermon series is on the Song of Songs. The current Sunday evening sermon series is on the book of Luke. The singing in worship consists of hymns sung by the congreation. We hope that you will find our worship service characterized by joyful reverence.
There are Sunday school classes for all ages which meet after worship on Sunday mornings and different mid-week Bible studies meet throughout the year.
Covenant of Grace also has a high school youth group that meets throughout the year for service activities and fellowship.
